About the exhibition

The Walk of Water photostory exhibition, presented by Onewater and the UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP), opened on 24 September 2026 at Eco Sanfra, a festival dedicated to economic, environmental and social sustainability held in Perugia, Italy.

The festival takes its inspiration from Saint Francis of Assisi's Canticle of the Creatures, which organisers consider one of the earliest examples of ecological thought. The programme brought together scientists, experts and the public on topics such as soil, climate migration, the Earth seen from space, sustainable finance, the circular economy and food waste. The festival was organised in collaboration with Rai Umbria, with the high patronage of the European Parliament and the participation of the Umbria Chamber of Commerce.

The exhibition presented 25 photos from the Walk of Water contests "Water, Peace & Prosperity" and "Identities", accompanied by a video loop of the stories on screens in the exhibition rooms.

The exhibition was installed with the support of UNESCO WWAP and continues the Walk of Water's travelling journey.
